How to create a system to be happier, healthier and wealthier.

What do you have to do to get closer to everything you've ever needed? You're closer than you think!

Here’s a question… How much easier would your life be with more money?

The more money you have the less stressful life would be and you can live life doing whatever you want, focusing on making the difference you’ve always wished you could make because you’ll already have everything, Right?

Wrong!

If you can see, walk, have a home-cooked meal, spend time with loved ones, watch your kids play and laugh, if you have the privilege to get up and go to work and someone is willing to pay you to make a difference in that role, you have everything you’ve ever needed already.

Sometimes we completely forget the fact that we are alive and have the freedom to choose our outlook on life and that’s priceless. Covid-19 proved it.

In this blog, we’re going to cover exactly why that is and how you can get started today living a happier, healthier and wealthier life.

Okay, let’s go…

It all started from a thought process while I was away on a little break (on the coastline) on why do we live the way we do with money and if it’s in our control and to what extent?

You see, in today’s time with the ability to spend money right in the palm of our hands, spending money boils down to behavior.

Our behavior and habits with money are not driven by numbers and logic. I covered why and how to create a system to create an emergency fund to deal with the ups and downs in life in my video – The foundations of good decisions with money.

So here’s the thing, this stuff isn’t new… there’s tons of information on why it’s good to have an emergency fund as a starting point to financial freedom but why is it that so many people have seen, heard or read about it but after getting the message – agreed and felt like they would like to have that – but then carried on with their business of day to day life and a month later, a year later still carrying on, stuck in the same cycle?

Here’s one answer.

It’s because we’ve got things to do and we’re constantly busy with stuff and deadlines, working to pay bills from Monday to Friday and in between all of that we chase happiness as a goal by trading our presence for material things and we act on immediate gratification.

By the time the weekend comes it’s such a relief that we have to loosen up a bit, chill, watch some tv and catch up on things and people.

Spending time figuring out how to plan out our journey to financial freedom is there, on the to-do list, but not really there to act on yet… but in a few months (maybe), there is going to be a time when you’re ready to do it. (not really)

Now here’s the reality, in 2020 up to this day, this behavior is normal for most people and there’s many psychological reasons and studies that prove why we live this way based on subconscious belief systems from childhood, the concept of ‘Keeping up with the Joneses’, having things at all costs, spending on mandatory holidays and lifestyle things while telling ourselves we need to reward ourselves for the hard work that we’re doing every day.

In case you haven’t realised it yet, this is the true problem in our behaviour.

That being said, I’m here to tell you it’s okay. We don’t need more people making us feel bad for our life choices because it is hard out there and you’re doing the best you can, but I need you to realise there’s a negative cycle to this mindset. I’m also here to share with you the best way to take control of your mindset towards your financial freedom.

It’s called gratitude.
The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

If you can wake up every day knowing, feeling and believing that you already have so many priceless gifts in everything that is you and around you, nothing can control your behavior. You’ll see the day ahead from a point of clarity rather than a point of anxiety.

You’ll make better decisions, build stronger relationships and remain present more often.

And the solution is…the more you can stay present and grateful, the more resilient and happier you will be with your life.

And the beauty of the practice of gratitude is that it’s something that can be trained.

I’ve got something to help each one of you take action in your journey today.
